Kumbaro: TEA App Takes Albanian Tourism Beyond Borders, Users from 126 Countries

The summer events calendar is once again integrated into the TEA (Tourism Events of Albania) app, offering an updated and inclusive guide for those wishing to explore Albania’s natural and cultural attractions.

Tourism and Environment Minister Mirela Kumbaro invited all interested users to install the TEA app to avoid missing any events across the country. She said the app extends Albania’s tourism reach beyond borders, noting that its users come from 126 countries around the world.

“TEA travels wherever there’s interest in discovering Albania, because Albania is not just a destination, but a feeling you carry with you,” Kumbaro stated.

The latest version of TEA, the 360° Digital Guide for tourism in Albania, provides detailed information on both public and private beaches along the coast. It includes images, descriptions, and accurate coordinates for each seaside location. The app also offers a reporting tool for issues or violations, turning it into a platform for collaboration between tourists and institutions.

Cultural, traditional, and sports events are listed to highlight tourism’s diverse dimensions, while utility services help visitors plan and navigate their trips across the country.

Kumbaro emphasized that TEA is more than an informative tool, it represents a new tourism development philosophy based on technology, transparency, and civic engagement. Tourists now have a reliable source on their phones that not only guides them to the best experiences, but also empowers them to contribute to service improvement.

By building bridges between heritage, culture, and technology, Albania is increasingly positioning itself as a smart and welcoming destination on the global tourism map.
