Last night, Liria Square in Durrës transformed into an open-air stage for a festive concert by the City Wind Orchestra. The orchestra performed under the direction of conductor Saimir Kalaja, with soloist Juna Ruci.
Mayor of Durrës, Emiriana Sako, said the concert was part of the city’s ongoing cultural and artistic events for the tourist season. She highlighted that the orchestra offered an emotional and memorable performance for both residents and tourists.
Conductor Saimir Kalaja led the orchestra through a rich repertoire featuring works by both Albanian and international composers.
“A special emotion came from the masterful performance of soloist Juna Ruci,” said Sako. “The sound of music and the excitement of the audience created a festive atmosphere in our city.”
The program included pieces by well-known composers such as Prenk Jakova, Feim Ibrahimi, Bizet, Shostakovich, Beethoven, Morricone, and The Beatles. The music blended classic and modern influences, offering the audience a diverse and inspiring experience.
This event is part of Durrës’s summer arts calendar. It aims to promote the arts and create cultural spaces for the community.
