Tourism, Culture, and Sports Minister Blendi Gonxhja met today with New York City Mayor Eric Adams. The meeting took place at the Park of Art and Tirana Training Center in “Kinostudio,” a modern hub for creative industries and professional training in culture and film.

During the meeting, both sides focused on collaboration opportunities between Albanian and American cultural institutions. They discussed professional exchanges among museums, libraries, and art centers.

They also explored joint projects to promote cultural heritage, cultural tourism, and engagement with the Albanian diaspora.

Minister Gonxhja and Mayor Adams shared a vision for building lasting bridges of cooperation. These partnerships aim to develop the creative economy and actively involve young people in cultural sectors.

“We discussed concrete projects to support the creative economy, youth, and communities by connecting Albanian and American institutions,” Gonxhja said.

He added that the meeting opens a new phase of cultural and economic cooperation with the United States. The goal is to launch long-term initiatives that strengthen professional exchange and enhance Albania’s international presence.
