Opera “Attila” premiered at Tirana Opera and Ballet House

The opera “Attila” of Giuseppe Verdi will have its absolute premiere on the stage of the National Opera and Ballet House in Tirana.
A cast of Albanian and foreign artists will bring on stage in the 5th century tragedy of the king of the Huns, Attila, and the resistance of Apennine Peninsula people. It is an opera for which a lot of work has been done, says the director of the Opera and Ballet House.
“It will be a surprise, it will be something different, it is one of Verdi’s most unknown operas, what is called a new Verdi but there is nothing new about it, it is a difficult and heavy opera,” continues the director of the Opera and Ballet House.
“Attila has never been put on stage and I say it with in a convincing way that it is an absolute premiere. It is not a reenactment. It is one of Verdi’s early operas and this is very important,” he said.
The opera “Attila” that will be staged for four evenings at the Opera and Ballet House on November 15, 16, 18 and 19 is follows other operas that were composed by Verdi and put on the stage of Tirana Opera and Ballet House.
