The director of the National Theater of Opera and Ballet, Abigeila Voshtina, has made a briefing of the artistic season of the institution she heads.

During the January-June 2023 artistic season, the Opera House staged 83 outstanding works for Albanian and foreign art lovers. Of them, 36 were premieres, brought to the Albanian stage for the first time, while 47 works were re-staging.

The artistic season that we just left behind was one of the most productive and successful for the artists of the Opera House and the Popular Ensemble. The performances were attended by a large number of spectators and tickets were sold in record time.

This year also marked successful collaborations with foreign artists who performed on the Opra House stage, but Albanian artists themselves also performed across borders, starting from collaborations with the Kosovo Opera and Philharmonic until the last success in Varna, Bulgaria with the opera “Aida” by Verdi.
