Albania will participate in the book fair in Leipzig 2023 in cooperation with the TRADUKI project, where this year the countries of Southeast Europe present their literature and authors.

The news was announced by the German Embassy in Tirana, which informs that, from April 27 to 30, more than 15 events will take place in “Traduki Kafana”.

The embassy announces that, “Albania goes to the Leipzig Book Fair 2023 with a catalogue of over 100 successful new publications from last year. Literary activities focus on recognizing promising young authors who have been awarded important literary prizes.

In collaboration with Tradukin, the author Lindita Arapi presents her book “Albanian Sisters” and Arian Leka his book “Closed Door”. Lindita Arapi is an Albanian writer and journalist living in Germany. In 2011, her first novel “Girls with a key on the neck” was awarded as the Book of the Year in Albania.

Arian Leka is an Albanian poet and essayist who has received several literary awards.
