Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court, Fiona Papajorgji, met today with the United Kingdom’s Ambassador to Albania, Nicholas Abbott, accompanied by John Walker, Second Secretary for Political, Internal and Justice Affairs.

During the meeting, Ambassador Abbott highlighted the importance of the Constitutional Court’s role in strengthening the rule of law and expressed full support for initiatives that ensure institutional independence.

Papajorgji emphasized the value of open dialogue with international partners as a key tool for consolidating constitutional justice. She underscored the Court’s role in protecting fundamental rights and upholding the rule of law.

The discussion also focused on opportunities to enhance professional cooperation, exchange experiences, and support initiatives aimed at raising institutional standards and transparency.
