President of the Constitutional Court, Fiona Papajorgji, today held a courtesy meeting with the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Spain to Albania, Gabriel Cremades Ventura.

During the meeting, Ambassador Cremades congratulated Papajorgji on assuming this important role. At the same time, he reaffirmed the continued support of the Spanish Embassy, particularly in strengthening Albania’s justice system and supporting the country’s European integration process.

Furthermore, both sides highlighted the excellent relations between their respective Constitutional Courts. They also expressed readiness to further deepen cooperation in areas of mutual interest. This cooperation aims to consolidate the rule of law and strengthen institutional capacities.

In addition, Papajorgji expressed appreciation for the support of the Spanish Embassy in organizing the World Law Congress. She also welcomed the selection of Albania as the host country for the 2027 Congress.

Importantly, the decision reflects the significant progress of justice reforms in Albania. Moreover, it provides a unique platform for exchanging experiences, strengthening international cooperation, and promoting democratic values that underpin the rule of law.
