“Pilgrims’ Day” in Lezha: Exhibition The title “Symphony of Books by Lezha Authors”

“Pilgrims’ Day,” an annual celebration mainly dedicated to emigrants in Lezha, was marked today with numerous cultural activities.
The Gjergj Fishta Library presented the exhibition Symphony of Books by Lezha Authors. It features works by notable names such as Frang Bardhi, Gjergj Fishta, Ndoc Gjetja, Rudolf Marku, Shpresa Kapisyzi, Tonin Çobani, and Frano Kulli. Young local writers are also included.
The Lezha municipality stated that the exhibition is not only a journey through time via the written word. It also serves as a living testimony of Lezha’s literary heritage, connecting the past with the present in a shared symphony of books and authors.
Since 2006, Lezha has become the epicenter of the traditional Pilgrims’ Day celebration.
Each year, the municipality organizes multiple activities. These mark August 15 as a symbolic day for all citizens who have left their homeland.
