PM Rama: Albania guarantees stability, foreign direct investments continue to grow

TIRANA, December 10 – Prime Minister Edi Rama said today that Albania guarantees stability and clarity to attract foreign investments.

He attended the “Tirana Economic Forum,” a meeting with entrepreneurs and international experts organized by Delphi Forum. The forum focused on development opportunities in Albania.

Rama highlighted that foreign direct investments reached 1.58 billion Euros in 2024, marking the highest level ever recorded. He added that the trend was expected to continue in 2025.

He explained that investors select destinations with stability, clarity, and direction. In his view, Albania now meets these conditions.

The Prime Minister noted that the country is no longer seen as a remote corner on the map. At the same time, reforms have become practice, and daily transformations show real progress.

He also mentioned that Albania had opened all chapters of EU negotiations in record time and doubled its GDP. Meanwhile, tourism and infrastructure, including ports and railways, experienced growth.

Rama stressed that the government fought corruption, modernized the state, and increased salaries. Additionally, he said the military industry revived step by step.

Finally, he explained that Albania’s economic growth was qualitative rather than quantitative. He emphasized that the country builds an economy measured by value, productivity, and innovation, not only by size.
