Porto Palermo Festival Closes with Magic in Himara

The fifth edition of the Porto Palermo Festival closed with a magical evening on the Himara promenade.
Last night, the audience sang and danced to the energy of Olen Cesari, Marsela Çibukaj, Dren Abazi, and the Albanian Folkloric Ensemble. Special guests Roland Çenko from Gjirokastër and Katina Beleri from Himara turned the night into an unforgettable celebration.
The organizers thanked the Municipality of Himara, Mayor Vangjel Tavo, and the Albanian Development Fund for their support and trust in this artistic journey.
The festival opened on July 31 with a clean-up action.
Its goal was not only to bring outstanding artists but also to promote sustainable cultural tourism in Albania. For 12 memorable nights, Ali Pasha’s historic castle filled with music, emotion, and positive energy. Exceptional artists performed on a stage unlike any other.
The festival’s founder, violinist Olen Cesari, performed on opening night. On August 1, the Albanian Folkloric Ensemble took the stage. The next evening featured Ledina Çelo, Genc Tukiçi, Dëshira Ahmeti, and Anamaria Beqaj.
On August 3, Dren Abazi enchanted the public with his songs. Aurela Gaçe performed on August 7, followed by Adrian Trebicka and Kastriot Tusha on August 8. On August 9, Carlo Paz and Sin Fronteras joined the stage.
Italian singer Alberto Laurenti performed on Sunday, August 10. The festival ended with artists who have become a permanent part of its identity, including Marsela Çibukaj and Eda Zari.
