Preparations for the 64th edition of the Song Festival at Albanian Radio and Television (RTSH) are underway. This marks another chapter in the country’s longstanding musical tradition. The festival, a cornerstone of Albanian modern music, celebrates artistic creativity and live performance.

The festival has launched careers and showcased new music to national audiences. In the previous edition, Shkodra Elektronike captivated international audiences with a memorable performance in Basel, Switzerland. The Song Festival’s influence on both domestic stages and the European stage, at the Eurovision Song Contest, remains significant.

As the 64th edition approaches, attention is drawn to the festival’s role in preserving and promoting Albanian musical heritage. It remains a highlight of the cultural calendar, attracting artists and music lovers alike. RTSH emphasizes innovation, artistry, and the country’s rich musical identity.

Artists aspiring to participate are required to submit their songs by the end of September, as the festival traditionally takes place in December.
