Rama to Welcome European Council President Antonio Costa in Tirana

Prime Minister Edi Rama will welcome European Council President António Costa in Tirana on Tuesday. The visit is part of Costa’s diplomatic tour across six Western Balkan countries. It comes just days before the EU–Western Balkans Summit on June 5 in Tivat.
The summit takes place six months after the last meeting in Brussels. It highlights the European Union’s stronger ties with the Western Balkans.
Meanwhile, Rama and Costa will first meet with their delegations. The bilateral meeting is scheduled from 11:15 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
After that, the two leaders will hold a joint press conference in Tirana. It will begin at 12:15 p.m. The visit marks another important diplomatic step for Albania ahead of this week’s regional summit.
