Cultural Heritage Regional Directorate of Gjirokastër in cooperation with the representative of the Father Vangjeli religious community started the intervention in the Church of Saint George, in the village of Nokova. The church is classified as a cultural monument of category I.

The Church of Saint George in Nokova, which was built in 1772, has as its property the case of covering only the central nave with a vault.

The church consists of the narthex on the west side, the nave with the altar area and a porch with a wooden roof, and wooden pillars on the north side along the entire length of the church.

The church is accessed through the nave door on the north side. In front of it is the bell tower, which was built in later stage in the portico. The narthex has a pillar in the middle and is covered with a wooden roof and ceiling. The narthex communicates with the nave through a door in the middle wall that has two side windows, where the light enters through the south window.

The nave is divided into three aisles by two arcades with two pillars and three arches each. The central nave is covered with an east-west cylindrical vault, while the side naves, unlike all churches of the type, are covered by flat plank ceilings.

The altar area is separated from the nave by a wooden iconostasis. The altar area is lit by two windows on the south wall and a circular window above the apse.
