One of the most moving masterpieces of the Romantic era arrives for the first time on the Albanian stage. This weekend, art lovers can attend the performance of “Die schöne Müllerin” (The Beautiful Miller’s Maid) by Austrian composer Franz Schubert at the Opera House (National Theatre of Opera and Ballet).

Composed in 1823, “Die schöne Müllerin” is a song cycle based on 20 poems by Wilhelm Müller. It tells a tragic love story filled with emotional depth.

The plot follows a young miller’s apprentice who falls in love with the miller’s daughter. Hope, jealousy, and despair intertwine in this poetic tale, performed by baritone Artur Vera and pianist Etrita Ibrahimi.

The concert will take place on Saturday at 20:00 in the Concert Hall of National Opera House.
