Tirana, October 28 – Albanian Radio and Television (RTSH) and the Central State Film Archive (AQSHF) formalized closer cooperation on International Audiovisual Heritage Day through a signed agreement. The move aims to protect and promote Albania’s cinematic and media legacy.

The agreement, signed by RTSH Director General Eni Vasili and AQSHF Director Eljan Tanini, outlines strategic initiatives. AQSHF will provide restored films for broadcast on RTSH, enriching the public television collection. Both institutions will exchange expertise and coordinate digitalization efforts of their archives.

The agreement also ensures the archival fund expands with audiovisual materials filmed by RTSH over the years, covering key historical and cultural events. AQSHF described the cooperation as a pivotal step in preserving Albania’s audiovisual heritage for current and future generations.
