TIRANA, March 9 – The Orchestra of Albanian Radio and Television (RTSH) organized a festive concert with singer Marsela Çibukaj on the evening of March 8. The event marked International Women’s Day and celebrated mothers and women.

RTSH Orchestra director Blerta Ristani spoke about the event on the program “Në Kohë Reale.” She said the orchestra organizes classical music cycles throughout the year. In addition, the institution launched a separate season dedicated to musical shows.

Ristani explained that the concert titled “Ajo” formed part of this program. She noted that the event focused on music dedicated to women and confirmed that the hall reached full capacity.

According to the director, the orchestra combined its arrangements with the repertoire selected by Marsela Çibukaj. She said the concert program includes both Albanian and international music.

Ristani added that the repertoire features traditional songs connected with the theme of the event. The program also includes well-known Albanian pieces, among them songs by Vaçe Zela, including the song “Nënë” [Mother]. She also noted that the singer included a song from her own album in the performance.
