TIRANA, March 11 – The Symphony Orchestra of Albanian Radio and Television donated a piano to the Center for Openness and Dialogue. Prime Minister Edi Rama described the gesture as an important contribution to expanding artistic activities for young people.

Rama thanked the orchestra and participants. He said the center will broaden its program to include classical music and offer opportunities to students of the Artistic Lyceum and the University of Arts.

The prime minister also pointed to the outdoor space of the Center for Openness and Dialogue. He said the courtyard can serve as an improvised theater for cultural events.

Rama also referred to earlier difficulties between the orchestra of the National Theater of Opera and Ballet and the Symphony Orchestra of Albanian Radio and Television. He said Director of the orchestra Blerta Ristani raised the issue and urged authorities to address it.

According to Rama, the government will fulfill its commitments to the orchestra, including improvements in financial compensation.

The donation of the piano aims to support musical activities and expand cultural opportunities for young artists and the wider artistic community.
