The Center for Openness and Dialogue (COD), in collaboration with the “Cinespia 67” Center and director Dritan Arbana, will organize the next meeting of the “Cinema in the Region” cycle in Korça. The documentary film “Australia My Home: One Albanian Emigration” will be featured.

This 2021 production unfolds the stories of three generations of Albanian immigrants in Australia, their sacrifices, and contributions to their adopted country, as well as the strength of Albanian cultural identity in the face of homesickness and separation from family.

“Australia My Home: An Albanian Emigration” has been nominated in many international festivals and won awards such as: Melbourne Documentary Film Festival (2022) – Audience Choice; Impact Docs Festival (2022) – Award of Merit; Docs Without Borders (2021) – Exceptional Merit.

The film will be shown on February 10th at the Puppet Theater of Korça, and admission will be free.
