Autumn is often regarded as the favorite season for painters, and a group of artists in Shkodër has chosen to capture its essence on canvas. Gjuhadoli Street, located in the city’s museum district, became one of the main spots where the artists stopped to work.

“It’s my first time painting here in Shkodër, and I’m creating an urban landscape. Shkodra has preserved a lot of its traditions,” said Sadik Kasa, a painter.

According to organizer Tom Therçaj, initiatives like this are vital for further promoting the city.

For four days, numerous artists from across Albania are creating some of their most unique works in Shkodër, the birthplace of the famous painter Idromeno, where the art of painting has deep roots.
