The Faculty of Fine Arts (FAB) gallery has unveiled the photo exhibition “Iconic Architecture and Engineering in Contemporary Spain, through the Lens of Ricardo Santonja.” Held as part of Spanish Cultural Week, the exhibition invites visitors on a visual journey through Spanish architecture from the late 20th and early 21st centuries, highlighting Spain’s advances in innovative architectural design. Renowned visual artist and professor Ricardo Santonja presents a remarkable collection showcasing the progress and ingenuity of architectural design, featuring works by prominent national and international architects.

This exhibition provides an opportunity to explore the beauty and creativity of contemporary Spanish architecture through Santonja’s lens. As a visual artist and professor at the Technical University of Madrid, Santonja brings a unique perspective to the evolution of Spain’s architectural landscape.

In addition to the exhibition, Santonja conducted a workshop, “Photographic Techniques for Architectural Communication,” offering photography and architecture enthusiasts the chance to learn from one of the field’s leading experts. Dr. Santonja’s hands-on workshop included techniques of light drawing, conducted within a darkroom setting, enriching participants’ understanding of architectural photography.
