Spanish Cultural Week brings the rhythm and passion of flamenco to Tirana

The Spanish Cultural Week brought the passion of traditional flamenco dancing to the capital yesterday evening.
Patricia Guerrero danced in the Orthodox Cathedral, accompanied by a trio of Spanish musicians, to the rhythms of gypsy music, typical of the southern region of Andalusia.
The Cathedral hall was completely filled with spectators who curiously followed this Spanish dance, documented for the first time in 1774 in the book “Las Cartas Marruecas”.
Flamenco was declared by UNESCO, in 2010, Masterpiece of the Intangible Heritage of Humanity.
Meanwhile, today the Spanish Cultural Week will bring the film of Alejandro Amenabar, “Mar Adentro”, with the excellent interpretation of Javier Bardem. “Mar Adentro” is a widely acclaimed film with nominations for the Oscar, Golden Globes and the Silver Lion trophy received at the Venice Film Festival.
Spanish cinematographic productions will be shown 3 nights in a row at “Reja”.
