Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Elisa Spiropali attended today’s National Prayer Breakfast in Washington.

U.S. President Donald Trump was present, along with political, social, and religious leaders.

In a social media post, Spiropali described the event as a solemn moment. She said it reminds us that faith is the foundation of the strength of human society.

Meanwhile, during her visit to Washington, Spiropali held several meetings at the U.S. Senate. The talks focused on cooperation and coordination on issues of shared interest between Albania and the United States.

In addition, Spiropali met today at the U.S. Congress with Congressman Keith Self. He chairs the Subcommittee on Europe and initiated the “Presheva Valley Discrimination Assessment Act.”

Furthermore, Spiropali will continue her visit with meetings at the U.S. Department of State. She will also meet with several political think tanks focused on recent global developments.
