Stefan Taçi’s valuable cinematic production: ‘Les Fauves,’ has been successfully restored

“Les Fauves” is one of the most interesting art-films of the AQSHF film collection. Directed by Stefan Taçi in 2003, this animated film pays homage to Henri Matisse and the fauvist movement he initiated, known as ‘fauvism.’
‘Les Fauves’ meticulously embroiders the essence of Matisse’s renowned paintings, evoking a handcrafted aesthetic. Employing a blend of animation techniques and real footage, the film serves as a tribute to life, art, and the innocent lives lost to the senseless violence of any nature.
The film is presented in a meticulously restored version, boasting colors faithful to the original, and featuring high-quality picture and sound, courtesy of Quality Matters studio in India.
The Central State Film Archive will host an event to celebrate the successful completion of the restoration project and pay tribute to the talented artists who contributed to the film’s creation. This event is scheduled on September 12th and will be held at the Palace of Brigades
