The National Theatre of Opera, Ballet and Folk Ensemble will host many events this October. Amid autumn’s melancholy sounds, the October calendar brings a mosaic of emotions.

TKOBAP will present shows from the International Dance Festival such as PULS, Notte Morricone, Alegorías, and Bate Fado. It will also stage children’s activities through the project Come Sing with Us.

The program highlights include the recitals From Bach to Blues, pianist Frida Bollani’s concert, and a cello-piano duo with Ejona Nako and Viola Paço.

On October 9, classical music lovers will see the absolute premiere of acclaimed violinist Giuseppe Gibboni with the TKOBAP Symphony Orchestra.

On October 18, a gala evening will honor director Nikolin Gurakuqi on his 70th birthday. The Folk Ensemble will also perform internationally in Bolzano and Rovereto, while the Symphony Orchestra debuts at the Respighi Festival in Bologna.

At the end of the month, the Vienna Philharmonic will perform in Tirana to celebrate the 200th anniversary of Austrian composer Johann Strauss.
