Recently, the publication ‘Studies about the Old Albanian (c. XV-XVIII)’ was released. This book serves as a compilation of Professor Anila Omari’s extensive research over the years on the language of old texts, which the author has referred to as ‘Old Albanian’.

This language has been extensively examined, encompassing phonetics, grammar, and syntax, not only in texts from the Northern region but also in those from Central and Southern Albania.

In the preface of the work, researcher Mimoza Kore notes, “Familiarity with Old Albanian helps researchers, as well as intellectuals interested in this period, to open the door to the past and history that today’s and modern languages cannot provide. Reading this work provides a cultural sense of historical understanding that is essential for us to learn effectively from the past.”
