The ‘Best Kabaja’ award is given to the Korça Sazet at the Folklore Festival, where 18 groups competed

A total of 150 folk artists from 18 artistic groups representing various regions of the country came together to present the 13th edition of the Typological Folklore Festival of the Sazet.
Over three nights, the musical groups brought the vibrant colors of folk music to the squares of Leskovik and Erseka through traditional instruments, authentically preserving this invaluable spiritual heritage.
Master Fatos Qerimaj praised the contributions of artists who have safeguarded and passed down folk music through generations. “They have beautifully preserved our tradition in a remarkable way,” said Qerimaj.
The festival also featured young artists who are following in the footsteps of the great masters of folk music.
In addition to instrumental performances, the audience was deeply moved by the dances presented by both veteran and young dancers.
At the end of the festival, the jury awarded the Korça Sazet group the “Best Kabaja” award and the “Selim Leskoviku” prize.
