The director of the film ‘The Prosecutor,’ Danny Glover, felt very well in Albania and left in tears

Fatmir Doga Discusses Filming “The Prosecutor” in Tirana
Fatmir Doga, the director of the upcoming film “The Prosecutor,” which will soon be screened in cinemas in Tirana, shared his impressions from the shooting of the series in the city. In a statement to the media, he expressed that the very nature and history of the Albanian people are highly cinematic.
“We Albanians experience both love and hate to the extreme because we are very emotional. I do not know if there is a people in the world with as many stories as we have. And this is incredibly cinematic. All these events are etched into our DNA,” said Doga.
The filming of the movie in Albania also featured the participation of renowned American actor Danny Glover, who plays the role of the American ambassador in Tirana. Director Doga noted that Glover left Albania with the best impressions.
“He arrived here very skeptical, as he did not know much about the country—almost nothing at all. I can say that he left the airport in tears. He felt very well here and said that a love like this could only have come from his mother,” declared director Fatmir Doga.
The first episode of the series will hit the cinemas in Tirana on October 10, produced by Ylli Ujka and Çesk Ivanaj. The film is of the action/drama genre and is inspired by everyday events, focusing on the justice reform and the struggle of an honest prosecutor to confront organized crime and corrupt politicians.
