The province of Kolonja, known for its natural resources and diverse traditions, has been attracting more and more local and foreign tourists in recent years. The historical and ethnographic museum of the city of Erseka is one of the most interesting places to visit as it houses around 600 archaeological, historical, cultural and ethnographic objects.

According to the museum employees, during the month of August the number of tourists was much higher than a year ago, while the tourists themselves share their impressions of visiting this museum.

“Now we just had a visit to the museum and it is quite rich and very impressive, we were very pleased.They are an illustration of what I have read and which have been reflected in various artistic books” say the visitors.

The Historical Museum of Kolonja is located in the heart of the city and is among the first opened in Albania. Its doors have been open to local and foreign visitors since February 1962.
