The International Children’s Film Festival is being held on the 50th anniversary of the animated film genre

The 15th edition of the International Children’s and Youth Film Festival, AniFestA’GJIRO, which will be held in Gjirokastër from September 23 to 26, 2024, coincides this year with the 50th anniversary of the Albanian animated film genre, which had its beginnings in 1975 and quickly became a beloved art form, not only for children but also for adults.
The Central State Film Archive (AQSHF) announced via social media that this is an edition not to be missed.
September 26, 2024, will be dedicated to a retrospective of Albanian animation, featuring the best films produced by Albanian animation artists, thanks to the collaboration between AQSHF and AniFest.
The Director of AQSHF, Marinela Ndria, will also serve as a member of the jury for the 15th edition of the International Children’s and Youth Film Festival AniFestA’GJIRO, where the latest contributions to this genre from around the world will be showcased.
