The International Human Rights Film Festival, held in Tirana from September 16-21, showcased 41 films and documentaries across various venues. The festival promoted discussions on human rights, disinformation, gender equality, and the impacts of war, including the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. Supported by the EU, this year’s theme, “Act Green for Now and the Future,” emphasized the role of art in advocating for universal values and environmental protection.
The festival opened with Telling Nonie, a documentary by Paz Schwartz, exploring themes of reconciliation and peace amidst long-standing conflicts.
