This newspaper was a political, social and cultural weekly.

The newspaper was directed by the publisher Kristo Luarasi. It tackled the patriotic and liberation movement issues in Albania and the Diaspora during the years 1911-1912, giving a great contribution to the echo of the Albanian issue in the international arena and the awareness of public opinion too.

The General Directorate of Archives brings a publication of the outstanding Albanian personality of the time, Luigj Gurakuqi, in the pages of the newspaper “Liria e Shqiperisë” /Freedom of Albania/.
