The well-known composer Aleksandër Peçi will soon present the premiere of the concerto for piano and orchestra n5 GEA 2551 at the National Theater of Opera and Ballet. 

The work, which will be played in the world premiere on March 1 in Tirana, received the appreciation of the internationally renowned French pianist, Pascal Gallet, who will be part of the premiere.

“I am extremely honored to give the premiere in Tirana of Aleksandër Peçi’s concert no. 5. This work is extraordinary, extremely demanding”, writes the artist.

According to him, while he played works such as Messiaen’s Turangalila symphony, Gao Ping’s concerto or even Jolivet’s concerto for piano and orchestra, the Pecs concerto is in the wake of the works mentioned above and is now the main part of the piano repertoire.

With this composition, Peçi travels in time, several centuries, into our future, exploring music and himself.

The artistic director of the concert will be Arben Skenderi, while the Symphony Orchestra of the Armed Forces will be conducted by Harlen Nikolli.
