The RTSH orchestra, with its modern hall, which was not maintained for years

The orchestra was founded in the distant year 1962, as a national asset, contributing to the soundtracks that served the time, but also to the Public Radio and Television, which was founded in those years.
It is success story that came to this day, though forgotten and left in a hall that was only used for rehearsals.
“Five years ago, the sponges that were in this hall and served to the acoustics, were removed. It’s embarrassing to say, but they were wormy. To understand that these people worked in such a hall amidst the dirt,” said conductor Oleg Arapi.
Flutist Jonela Golemi said that the time had come for intervention.
“Acoustically, lighting, ventilation, they had many problems. The moment had come. It was impossible to rehearse in a dignified manner as we deserve,” Golemi said.
“The source of the ventilation air contradicted the sound, its conditions came to be degraded and did not respond to the time“, says the Grand Master, Zhani Ciko.
A hall as classic as it is modern, as unique in terms of acoustic parameters as it is special in terms of the impressive television view it offers.
“It is one of the most important developments in that institution. First, maximal conditions are created for the orchestra, a new dynamics to its work. By investing in the latest technology equipment, both audio and video, the orchestra will be more present with its activity in the life of the public,” underlined the composer Vasil Tole.
The hall is now ready for any concert season. Its revitalization was part of the return to identity of all the premises around it, which have already taken shape to bring back the great RTSH in the digital age.
