The Turkish Cultural Week kicked off today, featuring music and visual arts

From September 12 to 15, the rich Turkish culture will be celebrated as part of the Turkish Cultural Week. The activities will include unique music performances and an exhibition showcasing Turkey’s rich historical and cultural heritage. The JKN (National Cultural Center) stated that the program offers a unique opportunity to discover Turkish cultural treasures.
JKN invited art enthusiasts to visit the exhibition “Fragments of Turkish Culture” at the “Sotir Kolea” Center.
The exhibition will serve as a rich journey into Turkey’s cultural heritage, exploring its ancient values, historical figures, and architectural wonders that have shaped the nation. Each piece is dedicated to Yunus Emre, an important symbol of Anatolian culture.
On September 12 and 13, in Tirana and Durrës, selected works by Ahmet Adnan Saygun and Ulvi Cemal Erkin, two pioneers in Turkish music composition, will be performed by artists from the Istanbul Opera and Ballet Theatre, catering to the musical tastes of the Albanian public. The musical pieces include folk melodies from various regions of Anatolia, highlighting the universal nature of Turkish folk music.
