Starting from today, all public authorities of the Republic of Albania must use official documents with the logo of the 80th anniversary of Liberation. The new models of official documents have been approved by decision of the High Council of Archives. In addition to the official gazette, they can be found on the website arkiva.gov.al.

The 80th anniversary of the Liberation of Albania has been approved as a nationwide jubilee year by the Council of Ministers. The logo of the 80th anniversary of Liberation has been approved by the State Commission for the 80th anniversary after an open competition conducted by the Ministry of Economy, Culture and Innovation.

This year serves to commemorate an important anniversary of the end of the battle of Albanians for liberation from Nazi and fascist occupation, as a reminder of the civic duty of every Albanian citizen to protect the Motherland when in danger.

State institutions are obliged to convey this message, through the approved logo, in every official letter, until the end of 2024. The non-use of uniform models of official papers by any public authority is followed by administrative penalties defined in the Law on Archives.

Ejona Karkini has been selected as the winner of the competition for the national logo of the 80th anniversary of the Liberation of Albania, among 64 proposals. As an architect by profession, passionate about design and nature, Karkini introduces the idea that inspired her for the logo, which will be part of this year’s official celebrations in honor of the 80th anniversary of the Liberation of the Motherland.

The iconic “Mother Albania” Memorial with the Albanian flag stands proudly above the historical anniversary in honor of the heroes and martyrs who, with their bravery and sublime sacrifice, gave the freedom that young people honor and remember today through artistic works.
