The world masterpiece of classical ballet, ‘Giselle,’ will soon be performed at TKOB

At the beginning of February, the National Theater of Opera and Ballet will present the ballet ‘Giselle,’ one of the most popular works of classical ballet at the international level.
The story of an impossible love, built on the motifs of an ancient German legend, will come from the TKOB Ballet Troupe, soloists, and Symphony Orchestra, together with many Italian ballerinas. ‘Giselle’ will be choreographed by the great Agron Aliaj, under the direction of ballet conductor Sabrina Bosco and conductor Renata Russo.
This ballet was first performed at the Paris Opera on June 28, 1841, while in Tirana, it premiered on December 14, 1988.
‘Giselle’ is a romantic ballet with two acts that encapsulates all the stylistic, technical, and expressive elements of classical-romantic ballet. At the center of the story is betrayed love involving a prince torn between two girls. The ballet unfolds in two acts: the first portrays Giselle’s death, while the second revolves around the German legend of the Willis, betrothed who die before their weddings.
“Giselle” will be performed on February 5-6-7.
