“This is Radio Tirana, November 27, 1944…”, the book “Todo Bojdani, documents, memories, experiences” is presented

The story of the partisan who took Radio Korça from the Germans in 1943 and in November of the following year took over Radio Tirana, brought masterly by the two authors Albert Zholi and Sulejman Basha through their monographic book was presented in Korça, in a special activity organized on the occasion.

“He was a complex, extraordinary personality. He was a person in love with reading, with the culture. He was one of the first radio operators in Albania and the radio equipment at that time could be counted with the fingers of only one hand. They were not even 10 people,” said the co-author of the book Albert Zholi.

“I am very surprised by the materials I have found and they encouraged me more and more to search deeper and deeper,” said Sulejman Basha, the other co-author.

Todo Bojdani’s son tells how the idea to publish this monographic book was born.

“A friend of my father was the reason. He is no longer alive. He shared details of the capturing of the Radio Korca station. I asked him why you know these things in such details and he replied that he had been a participant in the action and this was the beginning. The, other friends came and asked him, interviewed him, searched the archives and as a result this book came out,” said Jovan Bojdani, the son of Todo.

Through the history of Todo Bojdani and his civilian and military activity, this monograph also sheds light on the history of oAlbania during those years, featuring real characters and events, which are part of the history of the National Liberation War, Communications, Radio Tirana and Radio Korça.
