Tirana Hosts Italian Language Festival with Cultural Dialogue Focus

The Treccani Italian Language Festival is being held for the first time in Tirana. It is also the first time the festival has taken place outside Italy.
At the University of Tirana, the main theme was responsibility. The event promoted cultural dialogue and the Italian language beyond national borders.
The activity was open to the public and organized in cooperation with the Italian Embassy, the Center for Openness and Dialogue (COD), the University of Tirana, and media partners Rai Cultura and Rai Radio 3.
Guests included Fabio Deotto, journalist and writer; Michele Cortelazzo, a renowned professor of Italian linguistics from the Accademia della Crusca; and Carmen Lasorella, journalist and writer, who has covered major international crises.
The festival provides an opportunity to reflect on the value of words and storytelling, linking language, information, and responsibility.
“Responsibility” is the central theme of the eighth edition. The organizers approach this topic from multiple perspectives: linguistic, historical, literary, artistic, and scientific.
This edition of Treccani aims to encourage reflection and dialogue about the impact of words and actions on society.
