The mosaic of Tirana, which will be transformed, will reveal pieces of history through rare mosaics of antiquity says Prime Minister Edi Rama on social network, where he also published photos from the project, adding that the Tirana Mosaic will become one of the most visited destinations in the capital.

“This is the Mosaic of Tirana that will soon become one of the most visited destinations of the capital, where fragments of history will be discovered through rare mosaics of antiquity”, writes Rama.

The Tirana mosaic is thought to have been part of a rural type dwelling built in the 1st century AD. It was discovered in 1972, during the construction of the residence block of flats in neighborhood no. 9 of Tirana.
