Tirana to host Corridor VIII Economic Forum

Albania will host the Corridor VIII Economic Forum on February 18, the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs announced today.
The ministry says Europe is entering a decisive phase. Connectivity, sustainability, and regional integration now stand as pillars of security and economic growth.
In this context, the Pan-European Corridor VIII links the Adriatic Sea with the Black Sea. It is emerging as one of the region’s most strategic infrastructure projects.
As part of the Trans-European Transport Network, Corridor VIII connects Albania, North Macedonia, and Bulgaria. It also extends toward Italy and Romania.
The corridor strengthens regional links. It boosts collective security and supports east–west stability in Europe.
The forum in Tirana marks a key step in advancing the project. It will take place on February 18, 2026.
The event will gather public authorities, European institutions, international financial bodies, and business leaders. Participants aim to accelerate investment, deepen regional cooperation, and deliver economic benefits to citizens and businesses.
Progress on Corridor VIII means more than infrastructure. It supports sustainable growth, creates new trade opportunities, and reinforces European integration in the region.
Albania reaffirms its commitment to work closely with regional and European partners. The country aims to turn Corridor VIII into a strong engine of integration, sustainable development, and shared prosperity.
