The news was announced today by the Mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, who invited the citizens to be part of this celebration on the evening of May 1, at Skanderbeg Square.

Veliaj emphasized that “International Cultural Weeks starts their third journey in Albania, full of surprises and new stations”.

“Albanian cities are ready to welcome the cultures of others, who come with the desire to convey their values and traditions and to promote cultural exchange and inspire innovation. Come and be part of the official opening of the International Cultural Weeks 2024“, writes Veliaj on social networks.

International Cultural Weeks (ICW) is an initiative of the former Ministry of Culture 2022, which brings to Albania the tunes, images, aromas and tastes of different countries of the world.

Through this project, countries are better known, relations with international partners are strengthened, and the offer of cultural activities in Albania for all tastes and ages increases. International Cultural Weeks transform the scene of cultural activities in the country into a multicultural and multidisciplinary international arena.
