Today’s artisans pass on their craftsmanship to the new generation

EU4Culture considered the organization of events within the UN Week, another day of celebration in Shkodër.

Artisans have been displaying hand-made costumes and passing on their centuries-old traditional embroidery skills to the new generation. “Not even the rain could dampen our spirits”, is written on the online page of EU4Culture.

Even the mayor of Shkodër joined the participation of children during the ceramics and embroidery masterclasses.

“I want to express my conviction that our municipality is open, ready and motivated to cooperate with any agency of the United Nations, with the common goals for a better future for the citizens”, said the mayor of Shkodra, Benet Becky.

The Municipality of Shkodër and UNICEF also signed an agreement that paves the way for the creation of innovative “Bibliotheca” spaces in the premises of the “Atelie” Youth Center and the public library of Shkodër.

An innovative experience for the children and young people of Shkodër.
