The tourist season has brought high traffic volumes across coastal and inland areas. To ensure road safety and reduce accidents, the Road Police has deployed special police units in key hotspots.

New seasonal patrol units now operate in Ksamil, Himara, Manza, and Velipoja. These areas face heavy vehicle flow and require constant traffic supervision.

Increased patrols are also active along main roads leading to beaches, lakes, and mountain destinations. The Road Police has prioritized the use of cameras, radars, and other smart devices to limit physical presence and monitor roads more efficiently.

Traffic is now monitored 24/7 across the country, especially along high-mobility corridors.

Authorities urge drivers in major coastal cities, such as Vlora, Durrës, and Shkodër, to use alternative routes whenever possible. This would help ease congestion on primary roads.
