The flow of tourists to the National Archaeological Park of Apollonia from year to year is experiencing a significant increase. This park is becoming one of the most popular tourist destinations in the country.

According to the leaders of the Park, compared to last year, there is a 75% increase in the number of tourists, bringing the flow to the levels of the period before the pandemic.

Two German visitors impressed by their visit to Apollonia this early August say that they had read and studied art history and knew Apollonia.

“We were surprised when what we had read about the ancient city of Apollonia. This is a great wealth of humanity!

I visited Apollonia in 1996, after all these years I still can’t believe the changes made here, like a black and white film, not only the services in the park, but also the road infrastructure leading to the park have changed everything” one tourist says.

In addition to the influx of tourists, special guests in the Archaeological Park of Apollonia are also young couples. Two young people from Durrës who have been living in Germany for years, Zabiti and Marcela, have chosen this wonderful place to make their wedding video.

Apollonia is one of the largest archaeological sites in Albania, but also one of the largest cities of the ancient world.
