TIRANA, March 5 – During the ITB Berlin International Tourism Fair, Albanian Minister of Economy, Culture and Innovation, Blendi Gonxhja, met with North Macedonia’s Minister of Culture and Tourism, Zoran Ljutkov.

They discussed the potential development of tourist water transport on Lake Ohrid. The initiative aims to enhance regional tourist connectivity and visitor experiences.

The ministers focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation in tourism and culture. They agreed to promote joint initiatives in international markets, particularly in Germany and across Europe. Discussions included improving tourist flow management at border points during peak season.

They also emphasized cross-border cultural collaboration. The goal is sustainable management and promotion of UNESCO heritage in the Ohrid region through shared projects and events.
