Traditional Japanese Tea Ceremony at Villa 31

The Japanese Cultural Week brought the art and spirit of Japan closer through a traditional Japanese tea ceremony held last night at Villa 31.
Participants experienced the centuries-old ritual up close. They learned about its philosophy, which emphasizes harmony (Wa), respect (Kei), purity (Sei), and tranquility (Jaku) — core values of Japanese culture.
A Japanese tea master guided the ceremony. Attendees enjoyed the calm and elegance of the ritual.
They also learned how to prepare matcha tea, a symbol of Japanese culture, and tasted it in an authentic, relaxing atmosphere.
The event offered a chance to understand the essence of harmony, respect, and spiritual calm.
The Japanese Embassy in Albania organized the ceremony, celebrating Chadō — the traditional Japanese tea art.
