VanHorn meets Constitutional Court chief: Support for advancing Trump’s priorities

U.S. Chargé d’Affaires in Albania, Nancy VanHorn, congratulated the newly appointed head of the Constitutional Court, Fiona Papajorgji, today.
In a media statement, the U.S. Embassy said VanHorn spoke about long-term American support for law enforcement institutions in Albania. She said this support advances President Trump’s priorities. These include dismantling drug trafficking networks and creating a level playing field for American businesses.
According to the embassy, the Constitutional Court plays a key role in ensuring justice for Albanian citizens. It holds accountable those who violate the law. It also preserves a fair and predictable legal system. This allows American businesses to thrive.
Fiona Papajorgji was elected in December last year. She will serve as head of the Constitutional Court for a three-year term.
The position became vacant after Holta Zaçaj’s mandate ended in March this year. Papajorgji was the only candidate in the race for the post.
