The apartment on Dibra Street, where the great Albanian man of letters, Dritëro Agolli, worked and lived for many years, will soon be opened as a museum to be visited by the citizens of Tirana and tourists. In the same building is also the “Kadare House”, the other great Albanian writer. The Mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj said that the “Agolli House” will be a kind of museum of the future, living in the ecosystem of the community.

“The house museum is located inside a building where people still live. Perhaps, this is the museum of the future, a museum that lives in the community ecosystem. Whoever comes to this palace can visit the houses of two icons of our literature, Dritëro Agollit and Ismail Kadare, which are separated by only one floor”, Veliaj said.

He added that “Agolli House” will be the next pearl for our Tirana. “This is the next pearl in a necklace of beautiful beads of Tirana today. Everyone also needs to take stock, I remember that from 2015 we brought back the New Market, we brought back the Tirana Castle, we brought back the ‘Max Velo’ cinema, this palace, these two museum houses, the “House with Leaves”, Bunk’Art”. So, today Tirana has many sites.  “Dajti” Hotel has finally returned and I do believe that together with the Governor we will very soon have an exhibition of Ibrahim Kodra to officially open it, definitely as the headquarters of the bank, but rather as an asset for the city, with different halls”, Veliaj said.
