Vengu: On the 113th Anniversary of the Armed Forces, the Country’s Security Rests on the Dedication of Those in Uniform

Minister of Defence Pirro Vengu marked the 113th anniversary of the Albanian Armed Forces. He stated that the Forces remain essential for national progress.
First, he emphasized that Albania stays secure sixteen years after joining NATO because its personnel show strong dedication. Not because of the country’s size.
Then, he noted that this dedication builds trust with Albania’s allies.
Furthermore, he stressed that the Armed Forces operate as a community. They include the people in uniform, their families, the communities they assist during emergencies, and the citizens who work confidently because they feel protected.
Afterward, Vengu highlighted that the Forces carry 113 years of history and service. He said they shape their future every day by following the principle set in 1912.
He stated, “Albania must defend itself in order to develop.”
Finally, he underlined that this long legacy inspires today’s mission. The Forces continue to strengthen national security, protect territorial integrity, and serve citizens. They move forward with modern standards and a clear vision for the future.
